The Jewelry Price Estimator helps you understand the total cost of a gold jewelry item by breaking it down into its core components: the value of the gold itself and the additional costs known as "making charges" or "workmanship."
Components of a Jewelry Price
- Gold Value: This is the base value, determined by the weight of pure gold in the item and the current live market price. Our tool calculates this for you automatically.
- Making Charges (Workmanship): This is an additional fee charged by the jeweler to cover the cost of designing and crafting the piece. It is usually calculated as a percentage of the gold's value and can vary significantly based on the complexity of the design, the brand, and the location.
- Taxes: Value-added taxes (VAT) or other local taxes may also be applied to the final price, which are not included in this estimator.
